Community Velocity Model Service (CVM)

This is an Internet service to visualize version 2 of the 3D Velocity Model for Southern California developed by the Southern California Earthquake Center. Refer to the help page for installation instructions and additional information.

It seems that support for Java is not enabled in your browser. You need one of the following browser:

  • Netscape Navigator version 6.0 or later
  • Mozilla web browser version 1.0 or later
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 or later
The help page contains the information necessary to download and install the Java plug-in in your browser.

If you only see a gray square above you need to install the Java plug-in.  Read the instructions to install the Java plug-in.
